We spent a year honing our first brand platform for Marriott Bonvoy. And we felt that the most provocative thing a hotel brand could say about travel is that it’s not just about where you stay. But what stays with you long after the trip is over. The smells, the tastes, the flings, the newfound curse words, and, yes, even the questionable tattoos. At the core of our brand platform “Travel Shapes You” is the idea that if you see enough of this world, the souvenir you get to take home at the end of every trip is you.
